關於耆智同行

背景

百行以孝為先,夫妻白頭偕老,都是中國的傳統文化。近年隨著人口老化,腦退化症人士日益增多,照顧患者的家屬亦持續增加。家屬照顧者隨著患者的病情變化,需要不斷面對不同的照顧困難。如何克服沉重的照顧壓力,在數以年計的日子裡不離不棄,孝順父母長輩,維繫家庭和諧,是很多家屬的人生課題。

香港中文大學一直十分重視應用及傳播知識,務求綜合教學與研究結果,關懷社會,服務公眾,提升巿民的生活質素,滿足社會需要。為協助家屬掌握照顧技巧,減輕照顧壓力,香港中文大學銳意發展以腦退化症人士的家屬為對象的網上培訓課程,讓家屬能得到切實的協助。故此,香港中文大學於2010年3月14日,舉辦了「『與高錕教授同行』中大步行籌款日」,又透過香港中文大學知識轉移基金,撥款贊助專業團隊,為家屬提供全面的支援。

本網站由香港中文大學管理的賽馬會耆智園協助製作。賽馬會耆智園是一所非牟利的腦退化症綜合服務中心,自2000年6月起投入服務。賽馬會耆智園除了以社交心理的照顧模式為患者發展不同服務,並積極進行培訓及研究外,更致力提昇家屬照顧者的照顧知識及技巧,促進他們關注自己的身心靈健康。

本網站的內容兼顧傳統的「疾病為模」及日受關注的「健康為模」(註)模式,揉合正向心理學、神經科學心理學、認知行為理論、理性情緒行為治療、沙維雅模式、哀傷輔導、性格學、教練技術等,理論與實際並重,涵蓋問題處理及預防層面,不單協助照顧者面對及處理各種困難和壓力,更間接提升患者的生活質素,促進照顧者和患者之間的關係,相信能為腦退化症人士的照顧者服務,開啟新的一頁。
